Contingency Planning Exchange

Welcome to the Long Island Chapter of the CPE

The Long Island Chapter of the Contingency Planning Exchange (CPE-LI) was chartered in March 2004.  The CPE-LI operates in conformance with the CPE's mission as a non-profit educational organization with a mission to foster the exchange of business continuity, emergency preparedness and disaster recovery planning information, techniques and best practices through awareness and education throughout the Long Island region.

The CPE-LI supports business continuity and emergency preparedness planning initiatives by offering a forum for both public and private sector entities to participate and engage in the latest recovery response solutions including preventitive practices, software and technology solutions, as well as communication systems.  Emphasis is placed on Long Island based resources and training to provide a forum for professionals to freely exchange ideas, lessons learned and best practices.  The CPE's goal is to facilitate collaborations between Long Island based companies, service organizations and local government services.  These collaborative relationships will elevate the state of emergency preparedness and busioness resiliency for our Long Island Chapter members while also serving the best interest of the community at large.

Meetings

The CPE-LI hosts "2 hour" monthly meetings (8:00 am – 10:00 am) as well as 2 to 3 half-day conferences annually. Special meetings may also be hosted to focus on specific topics of interest. In addition to our standard membership benefits, our chapter promotes both informational and educational roundtables and less formal networking sessions.
