The Passing of Nassau County's Commissioner of Emergency Management, James J. Callahan, III
It is with great sadness that we learn of the untimely passing of Nassau County's Commissioner of Emergency Management, James J. Callahan, III.

This is a tragic day for the County of Nassau as we mourn the loss of a great public servant.” States Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano
Commissioner Callahan was a friend and dedicated supporter of the CPE. He frequently provided his time and support to CPE seminars and events. Jim was well known, loved and respected by our membership and will be dearly missed by all. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family, friends and colleagues.
Jim leaves behind his wife, Patricia and four children: Thomas, Katherine, Elizabeth, and Christina.
