CPE World publishes practical analysis on business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, operational resilience and emergency preparedness. The name is our shorthand for the three things the work comes down to: continuity of the services people depend on, preparedness before anything happens, and the emergency itself, when plans meet reality.
What we publish
- Insights: analysis pieces on method and judgment, from running a business impact analysis to recovering identity systems after ransomware.
- Reference briefings: longer pages on recurring questions (audits, duty of care, EOCs, insurance, careers) that we review and update over time.
- Planning resources: the standards, free government guidance and glossary we point colleagues to, plus an annotated business continuity plan outline.
Who writes it
Our analysts have run continuity programs at banks, rebuilt infrastructure after outages, facilitated crisis exercises and staffed county emergency operations centers. Each writes about the ground they know. We would rather say “it depends, and here is on what” than pretend there is one template for every organization.
How we work
We cite standards and public guidance where they exist, describe real incidents only from the public record, and label illustrative numbers as illustrative. We do not accept payment for coverage, and we do not run sponsored content. When a regulation or a standard changes, we update the pages that depend on it and note the review date.
Nothing here is legal, insurance or financial advice. In an emergency, follow the instructions of local officials and call 911.
Independence
